A New Approach to Learning Spanish

I've taken many Spanish classes throughout the years and they all had one thing in common; they were grammar-based classes that lacked practical application. Recently, I've met many people here in Manzanillo with the same complaint, their previous Spanish classes lacked the skill-making that's necessary for those of us living and working in a Spanish-speaking country.

It's time to move the grammar books aside and follow a different, much more exciting and practical path to learning Spanish.

What Makes this Course Different?

The objective of the course is not to teach you Spanish. Instead, I will help you develop the skills necessary to converse in Spanish. The simple fact is that you can't learn Spanish reading a grammer book. You learn it on the street, buying fruit at the market or talking to the bartender at your favorite restaurant.

Dynamic and Flexible Classes

I believe that once you begin to understand Spanish, the process of learning will become very enjoyable. I design my classes to relflect that. The courses aren't designed around generic Spanish lessons but around what is relevant to us here in Manzanillo.

Classes at multiple levels are on-going, from beginner through upper intermediate. Because of the fluidity of the teaching method, new students can join an established class and reap immediate benefits. Or, depending on schedules, new classes can be formed. I can tailor classes for family, group or one-on-one instruction.

Flexible Classroom, Too

Whatever your particular needs, I can plan your course accordingly. Classes can be set up at the school, with desks, a whiteboard and AC; at a café in Santiago where you can practice your Spanish ordering drinks and food; or we can meet in the comfort of your own home; whichever you prefer. You decide what works best for you.
